I cannot recommend Elyse Burton highly enough. I found out about her through the Glenn School, and when I started my daughter in speech therapy, I expected a long process. My almost-6-year-old daughter struggled with repetitive speech and pronounced her TH sound incorrectly. Within three weeks, my daughter's repetitive speech was almost gone and by the one month mark she was consistently speaking without repetitions for days at a time.
My son's speech articulation "red flags" emerged almost as soon as he began to speak, but I didn't fully recognize them. After an early screening with Elyse and encouragement from our pediatrician, we began our speech therapy work. Elyse is thorough as she works with kids, but also maintains a sense of humor and relaxed dialogue with them that allows them to help themselves. She anticipated we'd need OT and help with "r" when my son grew older and she was right. She also expected him to have a headstart in reading from all of our work, and he did!

At age 2, our son was not speaking very many words or phrases, and our pediatrician recommended speech evaluation and therapy.
